Joel H. Paul, president of JPG, is one of the nation’s leading authorities on executive search for nonprofit organizations. He is also an authority on communal life and philanthropy and has held multiple high-profile positions with nonprofit groups focused on advancing Jewish life.
Joel has served as an advisor to national and international nonprofit organizations for over 30 years. Prior to founding Joel H. Paul & Associates in 1986, he served as the Executive Director of the Hillel Foundations of Greater Philadelphia. Joel has served on many Boards, utilizing his lay and professional experience to help nonprofit organizations formulate both policy and strategic direction. He has also spoken frequently before professional industry groups on such topics as hiring strategies and organizational policy planning.
Joel has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, Europe and Israel and has led philanthropic missions to these countries. A Boston native, Joel received his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University. He has also completed graduate studies at Yeshiva University, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Joel and his wife Rhoda reside in New Jersey. He has three children and twelve grandchildren.
