Susan L. Cohen joins the Joel Paul Group as a Senior Recruitment Manager
The Joel Paul Group (JPG) welcomes Susan L. Cohen, MBA as a Senior Recruitment Manager. On behalf of JPG, she will be seeking out talent, interviewing candidates, and assisting in the hiring process as well as analyzing nonprofits’ operations when requested to determine which departments would most benefit from additional staff.
Susan’s experience as a nonprofit professional both at UJA-Federation and the Federations of North America and other nonprofit organizations spans twenty years. Prior to her work in the Jewish communal world, Susan pursued her interest in market research, serving as Senior Market Research Analyst at Weight Watchers International. Prior to that, she offered her strategic planning expertise at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield.
She has also engaged in numerous volunteer activities. She served as Vice President of Congregation B’nai Jacob. These days, she helps to prepare emergency food packages for local individuals and families in need through the Center for Food Action in Englewood, NJ. Yet, her most enjoyable volunteer experience was ‘adopting a bubbe’ through Teaneck, NJ’s Jewish Family Services’ Friendly Visitor Program where she established a lifelong relationship with a dear friend and octogenarian, Martha.
Her ease at building relationships with various stakeholders from nonprofit executive teams to lay leaders and partner organizations will further place JPG at the forefront of the nonprofit executive search category.
