Our client is an American Friends organization. The Israel organization educates Israeli children from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Serves as the lead for strategic marketing and communications, for the US arm of the organization.
  • Consults with lay leadership on strategic marketing plan and its implementation
  • Develops and implements a strategic marketing plan supporting the organization’s mission across all marketing channels
  • Implements impactful multi-channel marketing initiatives that raise the visibility of the organization locally, regionally and nationally utilizing print, digital, website, social media and PR/media campaigns/efforts
  • Manages and provides creative leadership, direction, and best practices for the marketing and communications team of four
  • Manages the organization’s brand, continuously improving and expanding their presence across the country
  • Works with professional and lay leadership to promote new initiatives for organization branding
  • Continuously oversees the updates of website content and useability – user friendly, interactive, content rich, best practices
  • Sources and provides substantive content in a variety of mediums to improve relevance, create greater awareness and engagement
  • Implements Google ads and analytics
  • Oversees content and publication of the organization’s magazine
  • Oversees all creative marketing efforts
  • Serves as a first point of contact and may serve as a liaison for the media and spokesperson
  • Develops and maintains a marketing budget
  • Develops analytic to track marketing results and takes corrective action to meet marketing objectives that stays within budget
  • Monitors competitors’ marketing and communication strategies
  • Supports development department in their fundraising events and programs

Skills:

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Strong experience and knowledge of the most current digital tools to implement marketing campaigns, digital newsletter and other digital communications
  • Experience with all offline and digital mediums, social media, knowledge of SEO, SEM
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and external agencies
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with all levels of professional and lay leadership, and organization staff
  • Strong leadership qualities and experience and effectively works under pressure and deadlines
  • Experienced manager and mentor
  • Ability to assign work, evaluate and assist in the positive learning development of staff
  • Self-starter who can set priorities and juggle assignments in order to meet multiple deadlines.

  • Understands the significance and role of the organization in the educational landscape in Israel
  • Keen understanding and experience with Secular and Anglo-Jewish media
  • Experience with direct mail and other direct marketing mediums
  • Ability to represent the organization effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse communities
  • Ability to understand financial reports including budgets and guidelines
  • Integrity, creativity, curiosity and persistence to achieve the best results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe

Education, Preparation & Training

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing and communications
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a similar marketing leadership role
  • Experience in non-profit preferred
